Chapter Committee on Nominations and Leadership Identification (CCNLI)
Members of CCNLI have the important responsibility of identifying leaders within our Association for candidates for Chapter office. These candidates should be selected to reflect the diversity of the NASW-Idaho membership especially with regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and geographic locale of residence. Efforts should include outreach to the larger membership, including the current officers and Board members of NASW-Idaho, to identify persons interested in and qualified for leadership positions. Members of CCNLI also must ensure that Chapter elections adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the national organization. This includes ensuring that all activities are conducted in a fair and consistent manner and those interested in running for chapter office are treated with dignity and respect.
Members of CCNLI are expected to:
NASW Idaho Affirmative Action Goals for Elected and Appointed Positions 2005-2008 ~ 73% Women and 3% People of Color
Every three years the affirmative action goal is re-established for each Chapter in NASW. The goal is based on the composition of Chapter membership in June and remains the same for three years. The affirmative action cycle is linked to the Delegate Assembly, which convenes every three years.
